NIGERIA – Olufunke Ayinde, the innovative founder of TMJ Global Resources Ltd., has been crowned the winner of the inaugural pitch competition for Foodpreneurs Hub’s Cohort 1 Food Business Funding Program.
Walking away with a grant of US$500, Ayinde impressed judges with her approach to healthy, gluten-free food production and her commitment to sustainable agriculture practices.
TMJ Global Resources Ltd. stands out in the competitive food sector with its signature product: sorghum-plantain flour.
This unique blend of nutrient-rich sorghum and plantain offers a nutritious, gluten-free, and versatile alternative to traditional flours.
Combining the high protein and fiber content of sorghum with the natural sweetness and creamy texture of plantain, the flour is perfect for cooking, baking, and enhancing digestive health.
It caters to a wide range of consumers, including health-conscious individuals, food allergy sufferers, and culinary enthusiasts exploring cultural cuisines.
In addition to its flagship flour, TMJ Global Resources Ltd. also produces unripe plantain flour, garri, chilies, and peppers, further showcasing its dedication to meeting diverse consumer needs while supporting local farmers.
Upon receiving the award, Ayinde shared a heartfelt message of gratitude:
