Promasidor appoints Festus Tettey as CEO for ECOWAS

WEST AFRICA – Promasidor Group has announced the appointment of Festus Tettey as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the ECOWAS region, excluding Nigeria, effective immediately. 

Tettey will oversee the company’s operations in the following West African countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote D’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.

New leadership for Promasidor Ghana

In a related move, Promasidor has appointed Samir Sadaoui as the new CEO for Promasidor Ghana, a role he will officially assume on January 6, 2025. Sadaoui will report directly to Tettey in his capacity as CEO of ECOWAS, excluding Nigeria.

Sadaoui brings a wealth of experience to the new role, having previously served as the Commercial Director for Promasidor in both Algeria and Ghana. During his tenure, he delivered notable achievements, contributing to the company’s growth and performance in the region.

Tettey’s impact at Promasidor Ghana

Tettey’s appointment marks a key development in Promasidor’s leadership structure. 

The Group acknowledged his contributions to Promasidor Ghana, where he has held various leadership positions, including Sales and Marketing Director, Commercial Director of Promasidor Nigeria, and most recently, CEO of Promasidor Ghana for six years. His leadership was instrumental in driving the company’s growth during this period.

Promasidor Ghana: A Legacy of Innovation

Promasidor Ghana, a prominent player in the food manufacturing industry, has been providing quality food products for over 25 years. 

The company’s flagship brand, Cowbell, which was launched in 1999, has since become a household name in the region. 

Building on its success, Promasidor Ghana has expanded its product range with beverage extensions like Cowbell Coffee, Cowbell Strawberry, Cowbell Mocha, and Cowbell Chocomalt, among others.

The company’s manufacturing expertise is further demonstrated by the introduction of Onga Powder and Tablets in 2003 and 2011, respectively. 

In 2014, Promasidor Ghana also ventured into the infant cereal category with the Yum Vita brand. More recently, in 2023, the company launched its chocolate beverage, Twisco, continuing to innovate within the West African food and beverage sector.
