Mondi honored with ten WorldStar Packaging Awards for 2025

UK – Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, has received ten WorldStar Packaging Awards in 2025, marking its highest achievement in the prestigious annual competition organized by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). 

The awards recognize excellence in packaging design and technology worldwide.

“This recognition highlights the strength of our partnerships with customers and the creativity of our teams. These awards inspire us to keep pushing boundaries and deliver more innovative solutions,” Markus Gärtner, CEO of Corrugated Packaging at Mondi, expressed pride in the milestone.

The WorldStar Awards, considered one of the highest honors in the packaging industry, celebrate innovations that address critical challenges while delivering exceptional value. 

The 2025 ceremony will be held on May 30 in Milan, Italy, recognizing companies that set benchmarks in functionality, sustainability, and creativity.

By collaborating closely with customers and partners, we ensure our solutions are functional, sustainable, and contribute to a circular economy,” Thomas Ott, CEO of Flexible Packaging at Mondi, emphasized the company’s focus on sustainable practices.

Mondi’s award-winning solutions

Mondi’s ten award-winning products demonstrate its ability to address diverse packaging needs across various sectors.

The Paper Bag Without Free Film, recognized in the Other category, offers a sustainable alternative by eliminating plastic layers. 

In the Food category, the Eco-Cage ensures safety and environmental sustainability in food packaging, while the Lunch Box introduces an innovative, eco-friendly design for food storage. 

For electronics, the Doorbell Guard provides protective packaging tailored to electronic devices. 

Transit solutions include the Bumperpac, designed for safe and efficient transport, and Product Protection for Premium Parasols, which guarantees the secure delivery of premium outdoor products. 

In the Packaging Materials and Components category, the BeerCoolBox combines insulation with sustainability for beverages. The Display-Guard, acknowledged in the Point of Sale category, optimizes product showcasing and protection in retail settings. 

For e-commerce, the TopLockBox delivers a secure and eco-friendly packaging solution. Lastly, the Bottle Protector, another standout in the Other category, offers sustainable protection for fragile glass items.
