Kerry partners Far Eastern Impex to establish Pakistan’s first international flavor manufacturing facility

PAKISTAN – Kerry, a global leader in taste and nutrition, has partnered with Far Eastern Impex (FEI) to open Pakistan’s first international production operation for flavorings.

This manufacturing facility, built to world-class standards in Karachi’s Malir district, will commence production immediately, supplying taste solutions to both global and domestic food manufacturers, including PepsiCo.

This strategic partnership with FEI enables Kerry to support Pakistan’s thriving food market by producing locally tailored taste solutions.

By localizing production, Kerry sets an industry benchmark, reducing lead times and enhancing innovation while ensuring a “Made in Pakistan” designation that resonates with manufacturers and consumers alike.

“We are excited to develop our expertise and capabilities in Pakistan, a dynamic and rapidly growing food market. Through our partnership with FEI, we offer customers, including PepsiCo, a local manufacturing footprint, reducing lead times and enabling innovation tailored to local tastes,” Peter Dillane, President & CEO Kerry Asia Pacific emphasized the significance of this development.

“This investment underscores our commitment to nurturing local suppliers, growing local talent, and supporting the evolving food industry in Pakistan.”

Positioning Pakistan as a key food industry player

With the world’s sixth-largest population and rapid urbanization, Pakistan’s demand for high-quality food products continues to rise.

The country’s food industry is projected to grow by over 7% annually between 2025 and 2030.

“This expansion represents a game-changing move for Pakistan’s food industry, positioning Kerry as the first global flavor house to produce in the country,” Dillane further added.

“Through this initiative, Kerry aims to enhance local supply chains, foster innovation, and drive long-term economic growth in Pakistan’s booming food sector.”

This collaboration between Kerry and FEI marks a transformative step in Pakistan’s food industry, bringing global standards, localized production, and enhanced capabilities to meet growing consumer demand.
