Kerry expands innovation footprint with new customer co-creation facility in Thailand

THAILAND – Kerry, a global leader in taste and nutrition, has inaugurated an expanded Customer Co-Creation facility in Bang Na, Bangkok.

The new facility is designed to strengthen Kerry’s ability to collaborate with customers in Southeast Asia, fostering innovation in the dynamic regional food and beverage market.

The state-of-the-art facility features customer innovation suites and a cutting-edge beverage lab, tailored for applications in dairy, refreshing beverages, and carbonated drinks.

With advanced technology and a team of experts, the centre aims to position Kerry as a hub of excellence in taste, beverage, and food innovation across Southeast Asia.

Thailand’s growing food and beverage market

Thailand’s food and beverage industry is on a growth trajectory, with its market value projected to reach USD 5.4 million by 2027.

Key drivers of this growth include rising incomes, a rebound in tourism, and an increasing preference for healthier food options.

The beverage segment, a major contributor to the sector, is expected to grow from USD 4.4 billion in 2022 to USD 6.7 billion by 2025.

Additionally, Thailand’s status as the world’s largest exporter of prepared meat, with exports worth USD 3.1 billion in 2022, further highlights the sector’s significance.

Kerry’s commitment to Innovation in Thailand

Since establishing a presence in Thailand in 2002, Kerry has been at the forefront of delivering taste and nutrition solutions across various sectors, including beverages, meats, and food service.

The company has leveraged consumer insights and a robust portfolio of science-backed technologies to establish itself as a trusted partner in the region.

Beyond the Co-Creation Centre, Kerry operates a manufacturing site in Bangpoo, which serves as a Center of Excellence for meat technology.

This facility supports customers across Southeast Asia, Japan, and the United Kingdom, ensuring adherence to rigorous food quality and safety standards for export markets.

“Kerry’s new office and Co-Creation Centre is a critical asset in the company’s mission to drive growth and success in Thailand’s high-potential market and build on our strong relationship with customers,” Vegin Dhiravegin, General Manager of Kerry Thailand, highlighted the strategic importance of the new Co-Creation facility.

“With this investment, Kerry is well-positioned to lead in the beverage sector and deliver more impactful co-creation partnerships and innovation that will shape the future of the industry. I am confident this space will bring us new opportunities and successes.”
