GEA introduces digital milking carousel DairyRotor T8600

GERMANY – GEA Group, a prominent supplier of systems for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors, has unveiled its latest innovation: the DairyRotor T8600 milking carousel.

This advanced system integrates digital control units and real-time data management to enhance efficiency and animal comfort in dairy farming.

Central to the DairyRotor T8600 is the incorporation of GEA’s DigiTron control units. These units seamlessly connect with the GEA DairyNet herd management system, providing farmers with immediate access to vital data.

This integration facilitates informed decision-making and streamlines the milking process.

Design and flexibility

The DairyRotor T8600 is designed to accommodate various farm sizes, offering configurations ranging from 28 to 72 milking stalls.

Its robust and modular design ensures suitability for both barn and pasture-based systems worldwide. The system’s slim dividers and low entry height promote stress-free milking, enhancing animal welfare.

Hygiene and efficiency features

To maintain optimal hygiene, the carousel is equipped with FutureCow brushes that clean, disinfect, and stimulate teats in a single step.

This feature not only improves udder health but also reduces the risk of mastitis. Additionally, the “GoAround” function allows for the re-evaluation of slow-milking cows without disrupting the overall process, and the “Turn-While-Wash” option enables cleaning during operation, saving valuable time.

GEA offers three optional service packages—Basic, Advanced, and Comfort—along with a warranty extension of up to four years. These packages include regular maintenance, system monitoring, and online support, ensuring sustained operational efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.

The DairyRotor T8600 is currently available in Europe, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans to introduce it to additional markets in the near future.
