Azelis, NATARA partner to expand flavor, fragrance ingredient portfolio in North America

USA – Azelis, a leading innovation service provider in specialty chemicals and food ingredients, has announced a new exclusive distribution agreement in North America between its subsidiary, Vigon International, and NATARA, a global manufacturer of flavor and fragrance ingredients.

The collaboration, effective March 1, aims to offer North American customers an expanded selection of sustainable, high-quality ingredients designed to meet evolving market demands.

“We believe this partnership will unlock new potential in the North American market. By joining forces with Vigon, Natara can ensure that customers receive not only our top-tier products but also the best service possible,” Yoram Knoop, CEO of NATARA, expressed optimism about the collaboration.

“This approach allows us to better meet the needs of our customers in the U.S. and Canada, continuing our tradition of excellence in the flavor and fragrance industry.”

Enhanced offerings for North American customers

Under the agreement, Vigon International will distribute NATARA’s extensive portfolio, including botanical extracts such as Saint John’s bread, fenugreek, licorice, and kola; specialty aroma chemicals like thiazoles and pyrazines; and natural chemicals, notably nootkatones.

These additions complement Vigon’s existing catalog of over 3,000 ingredients, providing customers with a broader range of options to innovate and diversify their flavor and fragrance product lines.

The partnership is set to strengthen Vigon’s lateral value chain by integrating NATARA’s sustainable and premium-quality ingredients into its offerings.

This synergy will empower customers to develop products that align with consumer preferences for natural and eco-conscious solutions.

Focus on sustainability and innovation

Both companies emphasize their commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

NATARA’s dedication to sustainability ensures that its products meet superior quality standards while supporting customers’ goals to create environmentally friendly and socially responsible offerings.

The collaboration leverages Vigon’s robust commercial and fulfillment capabilities and NATARA’s global manufacturing expertise to co-create value for customers.

This alignment positions both companies as leaders in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions in the North American flavor and fragrance market.

“Azelis looks forward to the opportunities this partnership with NATARA offers. By leveraging Vigon’s renowned customer service and technical know-how, we will be able to offer more innovative and sustainable solutions to our customers in the North American flavor and fragrance ingredient space,” Steven Pringle, Managing Director of Vigon International, an Azelis company, said.

“NATARA’s world-class product line complements our existing offering and will grant our customers more streamlined access to NATARA’s 200+ ingredients.”
